Two posts in a day, wow....
So here is the to-read list, its mainly made up of all the books on the 2nd shelf of my bookshelf, its where I hide books I find round the house that interest me. I never actually read them, but I think its about time I did!

There is really no way I will read them all, I'll get distracted and not bother, but writing them down seems like a good start!

And I shall explain why.

First off, I'm really not that into reading books and even less writing about them, so this is why as part of my Queens Guide Award I have set my self the challenge of over the next 12 months developing my personal skills in reading and reviewing books. I am aiming to read 2-3 books per month and write a review on all of them. Sounds simple?

One of the reasons I'm not that into reading is that up to until the age of about 14 I was quite into books and studying English at school, but then I became ill with M.E.. This left me so exhausted that I struggled to get out of bed and attempting to read a book was incredibly draining; the most I would manage was looking at the pictures in Heat. I somehow struggled through English GCSE, but due to me not being able to read and write enough, I wasn't able to complete English Literature. Somehow I got a grade C in English Language, I studied 'Lord Of The Flies', I didn't actually read it all, I simply watched the DVD, ha!

So since then I have gone through phases of reading and not reading, dependent on my energy levels. Once I'm into a reading phase its great, but I soon run out of enthusiasm. In an attempt to actually use my mind a bit more and develop my writing skills I have started this blog. I hope at the end of the 12 months I will be able to see progression with the kind of books I'm reading and my reviews.
